I did a session on '3D Interactivity' at Flash in the Can conference earlier this week. It was a really amazing conference and very well organized. Nice work to everyone who made it possible, especially Shawn Pucknell!
There was a good crowd at my session who were hungry for code which made things go more smoothly. One hour is just not enough time to cover all the code, so the session files i'm posting below should help you get started. Thanks again for everyone who came to my session. enjoy!
As I mentioned in my session, the camera files are divided in to 3 parts... perspective, translation, and rotation. The perspective file is all you need to position your movieclips according to their 3d coordinates, so pls start with that. The translation and rotation files are for moving and rotating your camera.
If you wish to play with the triangle skew code, i've put that up as well.
And also if you're interested in incorporating prerendered 3d models in your 3d scene please refer to my previous tutorial i did for the 3d flash world contest with electric rain last fall.
